hks rs install need some info.
i got the hks intake and installed it with everything but the hard pipe. has any1 done this and noticed a difference in power. gain/ lose. it sounds sick *** hell and all but sometimes when im at idle and i give it gas it bogs down for a sec. only sometimes. is this ok to do by just puting the cone on or should i have waited. any 1 that has done this and has any idea or thought on it let me no what u think. thanks.
You're going to need a tune for that anyway, and there are gains to be had in the intake pipe itself, so I would just ahead and install the pipe also then send off for a tune.
youre making alot of noise...reset the ecu drive it for a few days and see how the car is..every evo is kinda diff..so it might not work for you..my car idle high for the first 4-5 trips and it seem to solve the problem itself..
so i pritty much waisted 30 min puting just a cone on and not the hard pipe. o well. did i at least gain something other then sound or i need a tune to gain something. also when i shut my hood when i was done there car boged almost died then went normal again. whats the reason for that.

yeah just take the ground off for a min..i think AL did a dyno w. just the RS Intake w. no tuning and the car gain like 4-5hp...anyways if it does stall and runs poorly..put the stock set-up back and wait for a tune..
ok idd do that. ill reset it wait a few days see how she is and if she dont like it il put the stock on till al gets back to me. he is tuning it and im waiting for him to hit me back. i got all these parts siting here and im tierd of walking over them so im just slowly puting them in. thanks guys.
i have the rs intake on my car. i have an 03 and when i installed it i did have some stalling problems but the hks EIDS helped a little. Once i got tuned it helped the idle even more and now i can actually feel the difference and the extra power its making, before that im pretty sure i lost power, at least it felt that way
