Ok, it's official, my dealership RULES.....
Well, took the Evo in for the tranny rattle mod (something with the reverse gear) to the dealership.
My buddie, who has my pictures from Roebling and Road Atlanta hanging in the shop, takes my car and says it will be ready in a few days. Whelp, it has been a few days, I ride by, and the car is up, and still in parts.
I start to freak out, but maintain long enough to get to the front and ask what is going on.
Well, the service manager tells me they did the mod, and it still rattled, so they are going to go ahead an replace my stock clutch(27K), and some of my tranny parts. Not to mention flush all the fluids from the diffs, because, in his words, we want you to be safe while representing our cars on the track.
I asked why he was doing all this, and he said I was so up front and honest about what I did, that he wanted to show his appreciation for someone who treats them with respect, by not blowing smoke at them. They KNOW I track the car, and they do this. However, the KNOW, I also do more than routine maintenance, and I that I go above and beyond on the routine stuff.
Guess honesty still is the best policy....STF
