the new IX is useless without the rear diffuser. What's the point in selling them here? It feels just like the VIII...

Agreed. My previous cars had power everything and sunroof. I don't miss it at all. I love the pure raw form of the rs. I'm impressed mitsu actually offers an rs in the US. Most americans are more concerned with luxury and image than raw performance.

It amazes me that it gets dissed for not having all the options of the regular evo, afterall this is the true essence of what the evo is supposed to be. Thanks for the pics.

I still want a X, but doubt that the first year Xs will be what I want. I mean, Mitsubishi won't probably release different versions the first year. Being that the release date is still two years off, waiting for that no frills, stripped version will push my wait even further, say three to four years. Also, there's always that chance that a X RS won't be made.

At least a three year wait! Hell no. I best get the IX and be happy sooner rather than later. Three years is just too long for me. The two years would've been stretching it brutally.
I went from an '04 SRT-4 to an '05 Evo RS also. I could have got an '04 GSR for the same price as my '05 RS, but it was more about tuning/sound system potential and not having the hang glider stuck to your trunk. I have no regrets. I love my RS!

Are you kidding me. You guys would rather not have power windows . Reaching across to the passenger window HANDLE to unwind it is so much fun. I love my power windows. I agree weight/hp ratio is slightly better but did you see the video of MR vs. GSR vs RS.

A few milliseconds i can live with to have power windows. The wing thing is all about preference. I like the VIII's wing, not the IX's. MY preference.

I could honestly care less about power windows. If I had anything to complain about it would be the power locks. Passengers never think to lock them when they get out of the car. It's so minor though.
