Really thought i was gonna lose but managed to gain at around 60-70 then had to back off but surely he should have pulled a few car lenghts on me considering i have an evo 8 260 euro spec with just exhaust and decat, his had full turbo back, i belive they are around 330ishbhp, now i dont know if i would classify me as winning coz had to back off but i was deff gonna be able 2 overtake him easily if didnt run out of runway, any views? was he just a crap driver. i by no means consider myself an expert driver

Scots are cool, way cooler than many peoples. I have actually been to Scotland. Drove from Newcastle, to border area, by Glasgow, Inverness (Fort William, I think), Thurso, John'O'Groats, Wick, down to Edinborough, and back to Newcastle. Took the ferry back to Norway. The scenery in Scotland is beautiful, AND I saw my first VIII there, and a VII in two weeks!

By the way, I believe your story. Although, I don't think the STi was pushing, but the Evos are stronger in some points, especially from 30-70 mph, I think.

That was... in 2003. Summer. July/August, actually. We drove our Yaris Verso from Norway (took the ferry from Kristiansand (if you know), over to Newcastle), and really had a great time. Being 13 at the time, I wasn't able to drive, but the Yaris suited the UK roads much better than the Scandinavian.
