i got stock trunk and stock wing plus rear diffuser

Gas is around 7lbs a gallon.....

You know gross weight is not the only number, where the weight is can be even more important!

thanks for the weigh of gas
i was curious about that

and yeah, i think my rear end is light enough, that's why i'm afraid to save more weigh with CF trunk at the rear end

but its' nearly impossible to save more weight at the front

and if the sunroof really weighs 40lbs, that sucks
i bet that hurt the performance a lot by making the center of gravity so high up

I personally dont think carbon fiber hood/trunk save much, their both aluminum and weigh nothing really as it is.

Yeah, that's why the MR and RS both have aluminum roofs, which are not only much lighter than the sunroof'd GSRs, but also lighter than the GSRs with the normal steel roof. This lowers the center of gravity like you said...

front, remove entire AC system, move the battery to the trunk, find some CF or glass front panels.

It's really hard to believe that the EVO is a 3400lbs car! It's tiny, and doesn't have any real electronic gadgets in it.

If this were true the Enzo would be made of Aluminum instead of Carbon Fiber... Carbon fiber without fiberglass is very light compared to aluminum

Now I'm not saying that your car doesn't weigh 2951 lbs. But if it does you should post what you took out and what you replaced. That's alot of weight you had to take off while keeping a full stock interior and you have a sun roof.

Since the paper factory is PAYING for raw material by the pound I would bet that scale would be light.

Try it at a weigh station or something calibarted byt the state.

I thought I saw a post recently saying someone weighted the stock hood and it was like only 16lbs.

The stock hood is real light. Also the reason a CF trunk weighs less than stock is because they usally are not braced for a wing.
