I highly doubt it would ever be floppier than the 04-05 STi wing. The STi wing was 1-piece, all plastic. The three part consrtuction of the EVO wing won't let it flop like the STi's did, even if the EVO wing was all plastic like the 04-05 STi.

The 06 STi has a three-part contruction doesn't it?

Not entirely. Only the inside area of the sides are carbon fiber.

Nope. The entire thing is carbon fiber. Couple of people have sanded them down to find out. Search on here and you'll find the threads.

 

It sure is CF I did the sanding for myself and sure enough its CF! FCK what you heard.

 

Just to set this straight so people will understand because some people OBVIOUSLY don't get it.

EVO 8: Wing is completely carbon fiber, only thing that is not carbon fiber is the bolts.

EVO 9: Only the deck is Carbon fiber, the Sides Inside and out, are made out of ABS plastic.

 

Well in that case, score another one for the 8!

i eat on my evo 8 wing. i usually lay out the burgers and fries on a paper bag.

i heard from a subi guy that owns an 06 that the wing is the same as the 05
