good replacement battery (not mini!) for evo.. suggestions?

since i know nothing about batteries and crank power, etc.. i figured id quiz you guys.

i need to replace the battery on my car, but im not sure which to get. i have a high out-put sound system so a mini battery seems out of the question.

any suggestions? and where i could get it?

I had a bad experience with Optima Yellow top on my Integra. After a year, it wouldn't hold a charge. It was too expensive to die that fast.

Get some Capacitors too, for every 1000 watts I would use atleast a 1 farad capacitor.. 2000 watts = 2 farad /minimum

this will take alot of load of the battery and alternator, you can never have to many capacitors plus they look cool in the trunk!!!!!

Everyone I know and myself included use optima batterries for every vehicle. They are a gel cell battery and have quite a few options on size. Good warranty as well.

This is probable why you need capacitors, I have installed stereo equipment
for over 4 years, If your killing bateries, then there is to much load on the battery,
and your lucky you haven't blown an alternator

Dude, i know what the "Cap guy" is saying . The only badthing about the cap is that it always needs tobe charged. You may notice that your battery has an excess amount of voltage being drawn from it if your lights dim when your sub hits. If it doesn't you might have an intermitently bad alternator. Because your alternator should be charging your battery just fine. I run one cap and i also have a a JL 10W6 , four Focal mids and some stock 6X9's. They run off a JL 800/5, i run this off a stock battery. So you should be fine , you might have some alternator issues.
