I was away from a computer for a few days...anyway, I have too many stories to share here but I can tell you the general ideas of them.

I'm not sure I have worked with any drunk valets in the past but high ones for sure. Dumb ones too, not sure which is worse a pot head driving your car or someone with absolutely no common sense. I've seen plenty of kids park the car and then go through the car for various items they can aquire. Cranking the stereo on racing through the parking garages, even passing people in the garage. I watched this one kid do a very healthy burn out in an Integra all the way up one side of the parking garage using the hand brake and bouncing off the rev-limiter. Overall it's bad news in my opinion. Sure, not every valet is like this, I would say it's about 50/50. I really couldn't take it to be honest, I only had that job for a VERY short time and am happy that I got out. Those kids have a way of pulling you down with them when trouble happens.

Could you imagine your EVO bouncing off the rev-limiter while some kid side-stepped the clutch to see if he could do a 4-wheel burnout?

yeeeeeah, you know what I mean...don't do it! Unless of course it is some super reputable place that parks Ferraris, Porsches, and other $90,000.00+ cars all day.

Very few people ever drive my cars, and valets certainly aren't on the list.

As far as parking at the mall, I did that today at a mall with patrolled inside parking. I am certainly careful about where, and how I park my cars, and I don't leave them for any extended time frames. Being too careful with your cars is just asking for trouble though, and I have personally had too many garage queens that made my life miserable everytime I took them out.
