Being that I'm going to be purchasing a new evo very soon as well, Do they use "break in" oil? I know VW uses it and they tell you not to change it for xxx miles. does mitsu do this as well?

In case you dont know what the break in is..

keep revs under 5k rpm
easy on those new Brembos, dont want any warping
check tire pressure mine was way low and my alignment sucked too.

Welcome and Enjoy!

take it easy for 1000 miles, then ring the **** out of it. . .sign the paperwork where the tell you too btw. . .oh yeah, don't void the warranty for 1 week at least. . .I've lasted about 3 months, but it's going to hell in a hand basket soon. . .

Warrtalon, "Papaerwork", That's a good one! LOL
I just figured since I'm new to this type of car I would see what insight I might glean from everyone.
1st off, it's a black 05. I parked it at wallyworld (far from other cars and shopping carts) tonight and just noticed that it has a blue type of hue to it, I thought that was really cool.
I've been having the most difficult time keeping under 5K, but alas, I shall prevail (only another 300 mi to the 600 mi range, the car was 260 mi away)! This is the most fun & exciting car I've ever driven (I've driven 360 spider,BMW Z-8,99 Viper SRT,05 Elise,05 Boster S, 05 GTO 6.0L, 04 Z-06,etc,etc), it's a BLAST! I intentionally wanted the cloth seats, as leather sucks for hi-performance driving.
I will check the alignment, but the car tracks straight as an arrow and corners supperbly! Not even a squeel going around corners that my Miata would make noise on, it's like a slot car! And I'm not even pushing it yet, as I want to get the feel of the car and get used to it.

On Another note, I own a Superduty TD. 1st thing I did was enable it tho get the exhaust out by removing restrictions. I was thinking of installing a TBE, but am not sure if I want to eliminate the factory "cat". Is there a good AM cat that you recommend? Is it a lot louder w/out a cat? I like a deep sounding exhaust. Buscher(sp) seemed to have a TBE, anyone running that one? how does it sound?
Thanks for all the info and the wisecracks!!

I test drove an Evo VIII 3 weeks ago and that was it, I got hooked. I decided that the miata had to go in exchange for the Evo, so I've got that up for sale.
Thanks

for sound files click on the exhaust you want to hear (click on the picture) and click on exhaust movie. it wont give you performace stats just gives you an idea of what different exhausts sound like.
