i believe they are the same headlight no? just the 05 w/out ssl didnt come with the balasts and HID bulbs...

if not then you can just get a D2S HID kit and hardwire it into your headlight now.
other than that you will still need to get the d2s HID kit and hardwire it in(thats about it)

in order to upgrade the car to hids is a pain in the a$$ if you want the factory hids. its a whole new engine harness. its well over $1000. i have 8000k hids on my RS and it only cost me $300 from blinglights.com. they look alot better then the factory hids IMO

Do you have any pics? I would love to see how they look as compared to stock HID. Have you had pretty good luck with the ones from blinglights.com? I dont have HID yet so I am trying to decide what color and what brand to go with.

well the first set that they sent me one of the ballast was mess up so i sent it back and they gave me a new one. they come with a 1 year warrenty. it is a pain to install because you have to drop your front bumper just to get the bulb out. other than that the install is pretty easy. just make sure that you have positive to postive and negative to negitave. its backwards on the installation kit. you just have to be smat and look at it to see whats going on. go to blinglights.com to see some pics

it wouldnt work since the harness for HID is an 8-pin and non-hid is a 4 pin harness
