So on one has really told me if I should get rid of my 03 with 19,000 miles and get a new Evo 9 or get the 05 Evo.

Why not spend the money in your depreciation loss and put it towards your 03's mods? With 10g you can probably make 600hp out of your current on.

The smart choice would be keeping your 8. All those changes are not worth the 6-8K you'll lose in trading your evo. Instead, wait for the brand new redesign evo x.

if he gets a better APR (if financin') he can save anywhere from 2k to 8k that would offset some or all of the 6k-8k he would loose on the trade and he wold have a better EVO for the same price. A new Evo with better stuff is always better, regardless of price. IMO the 05 is a significantly better then the 03-04. 10-20 more HP, better tune (drove 04&05 and can feel the difference), ACD (makes it more like EVOs in other countries), a front diff. that doesn't break as easliy, etc. Also you'll have 0-10 miles instead of 19k. Anyways, if your financin' and don't have a 0% APR, wait till Mitsu offers 0% on the IX and get that (even better then the 05)

I think you've already made up your mind and are just looking for somebody to tell you what you want to hear. Here you go. Go get an '05.

I see, so it just feels like 10-20 HP?

acd does make a difference, i have been watching the best motoring for so long when I was in Japan, the last one i watch was the one with evo ix, they review the acd and they said they actually work, the driving skill and experience of the pro japanese driver have surpass most of the Americans.

Fuji, I saw the same thing. It might be that at there level it makes a difference, but at ours not as much? I don't know, I personally have not had any experience with it but I always though that it made a difference after I watched that show. Another question I guess, how much of a difference does ACD make? How does the 03 feel in rain/snow when compared?

05s usually dyno 10-20 more HP & TQ then an 03/04 (it is rated 5HP/12TQ more then 03/04)

The 05 has a better center diff and front diff, therefore it handles better

All AWD have a tendency to have a little understeer

05s usually do 13.1-13.4
03/04s usually do 13.2-13.6
