Get a boost gauge and watch it. Then you will see why you have bad gas milage.

When you fill up, divide the number of miles driven by the amount of fuel the car took and that will give you mpg, which should be a better indicator of how you compare to others on this board. Your fuel gauge could be inaccurate and the low fuel indicator may be lit prematurely.

If I get 23 mpg, then I am pretty happy.

These babies are well known for their gas sucking ability. There's nothing you can do about it, so at least have a good time while pi$$ing the gas away.

I've read the whole thread and the only 2 people getting 200 miles per tank live in Florida. I too live in Florida (Miami) and I'm lucky if I reach 210 miles from full tank to 10 miles over the warning light. Will this have to do with the gas in FL?

you also need to remember that the gas tank is very small.

If you want performance, get an EVO.

If you want gas mileage, get a beater civic, or a hybrid.

Don't expect high mileage out of this car. Performance comes at a price.

I can get between 200-250 on a tank of gas. However my commute is all highway. Stay out of the boost while cruising on the highway and you can get over 20 mpg. The only reason I don't get better gas mileage is because getting on the highway is a sprint to 70 and when I am not on the highway I love to be in the boost!
