B-Day?

Hey.. let me start off by saying.. If You Don't Want To Help, Then Please Leave The Thread Now. Thanks

Now. My b-day is coming real soon (Nov. 8th). I think I am gonna see if I can get a couple more parts (mods) for the car.

I just got, and installed my APS BOV tonight.. thats the only thing I have as of now.

NOW.. what would I be better off getting? HKS RS Intake, or Boost Controller + Fuel Pump? I already know, an intake isn't one of the best things to do without a flash.. or whatever. Getting the BC, and FP would be about the same as, or a little less than the price of the HKS RS. (Yes.. I wanna be able to hear my BOV, and both should make that possible, correct?)

I wanna get whatever will be the most benefical to my car, as well as me in the future with other mods, and such. So if these options aren't good, and I could do better... what would be some other good things? Turboback exhaust is already on my list for FIRST thing when spring hits.. so thats out of the way.

Thanks.

Get a 3" turbo back exhaust. You can get a Megan or LPI exhaust for under 600. After that upgrade you should either get a custom flash or mail-in flash. You don't need to bother with a MBC if your tight with money because the flash will remove the boost taper.

Well I mentioned exhaust was gonna be first thing on my list come spring. I wasn't really wanting to get a new exhaust system, and get it put on before winter... I dunno the exact reason, snow, water, ice, salt maybe?

But while still on that point, how does the Megan, and LPI Turboback sound? I want something loud, but not OVERLY loud. There aren't enough exhaust sounds around to really give an idea on what I mean by loud.. (I wish there were more, it would make my choice a lot easier).

Those are a few samples of the LPI exhaust For the price the megan and LPI are the best. They both sound very similar. The megan has a burnt titanium tip the LPI is just shinny. Don't worry about salt etc.. they are 100% stainless. Your going to see the best gains with a turbo back. A fuel pump or intake are bad ideas on a car not tuned for it. The intake will cause eratic MAF readings and you may loose some power. The fuel pump will cause you to run slightly rich and spend more gas. If you want to get a intake just get a drop-in K&N filter. I have one that I will sell cheap if your interested.

Also get a subwoofer to hear the vids. Without you are not hearing what it really sounds like.

Well, Im not only looking to hear the sound.. Im looking to get stuff, or something that will be beneficial to my car, as well as myself. Eventually I will be able to hear the sound, once I begin getting more stuff done so thats no worry.

do you plan on going on to a bigger turbo? if so, get any intake you want, but you better get a good management system to support it.

if your planning to stay w/ the stock turbo, FORGET the intake. get a nice HKS or K&N (or whatever else) drop in filter. you already got your APS for the "sound".

TBE, MBC, and a flash

Turbo back exhaust, Boost controller, and a a sort of flash, and a drop in Filter ( preferably K&N, if ur on a budget unless ur gettin the HKS intake then i would just get the first 3)

This will yield another 30-50 whp.

Steer clear of an intake and go with the K&N drop in filter. You have the BOV for sound already. If you want throaty sounding exhaust get a HKS hi power exhaust. I have a cat back and it sounds good. Multiple compliments, even one from an STI owner.
