finally drove the evo for first time...
it's interesting how you talk about the acceleration and the handeling ...
i tested my friend's new Civic sedan and he drove my Si ... boy can you tell the difference ... imagine the amazement i would get driving an evo ... thats like a 100+ hp difference ..

Its a great machine, what still stuns me is the price...35k for an mr is a steal in retrospect. Name another car for 35k that gives you what the evo gives you, its just an insane car and actually quite affordable, i see so many people spend much more on cars than the evo, and imo its not even half the car the evo is, wonderful machine
Now don't everybody jump on my back, but IMO the MR is overrated. But that's just my opinion.
I get happy in the pants every time I drive My Evo VIII GSR. I love her. It's been my dream car since the Evo IV and now I own one.

DAMN THE EVO IS AWESOME. i still can't stop thinkin about driving taht machine ....the thoughts are keeping me up at nights lol.
very very true about everybody test driving one. i heard about all the hype...and i've driven my share of differnt cars....s2k (ap1 and ap2), 350z 6 spd, M3 e46 6 spd, the last gen STi, a 600 whp supercharged '96 cobra, etc....and his Evo just captures my heart out of all of them. i just love the turbo kick and the traction and the steering response and the handling and the roominess etc.....i used to get a lil rush everytime my gsr engages vtec....but this....this turbo rush is like vtec to the 100th power mate. everybody should drive an Evo, because the driving experience cannot be adequately described with words....
sh*t i need to get my business moving so i can afford one before college is over...i'm only a sophomore...damn it...

LOL bussssssssssssstttttttttteeeddd... hahahaahahahaha
fusionchicken...great post. I had forgotten the feel from the first drive. I was giggling like a drunken school girl everytime boost would come on or I'd take an onramp at twice the posted speed. You actually sound like somebody who understands the value of a dollar, an education, and 300awhp even though you're young. You'll have an Evo someday. Don't sweat it. The longer you wait the more rewarding it will be.
