Dealership Trying To Screw Me Over?

So i went back to the dealership saturday, to switch my srt-4 trunk with my other srt-4 trunk. (the car i traded in)

they asked me to come in to finish some final paperwork.

So they tell me that i owe them 490.00. I ask why?

They claim that the deal was that i'd get 12k for my car. and the pay off was 12,490

the car is in my name already and i've been driving it for a week.

before i signed the paper i asked them. If my car loan was getting paid off in full. and they said "Yes dont worry about it, its getting paid off to the last penny."

I said great and signed.

They had to pay the 490 to get the car title. and they want me to reimburse them.

There is no paperwork saying i'd have to sign this.

They claimed,

If i didn't pay them the 490.00 , I'd have to give them back the EVO and they'd give me back my SRT-4. I told them we might have to do this then. Cause I dont think i should pay this money/ dont have it.

I ended the conversation with, im going to ask my parents what they think/ for the money if im going to pay.

they said great and said to call them. This was yesterday and i havent called them.

Do you guys think im responsible for this money? or should i tell them to give me back my SRT-4? or tell them to take me to small claims court for the remaining 490.00

If they want the EVo back i'd be more then happy to give it to them.

Clutch is burnt to a crip, almost 1k miles already. and etc.....

what are your guys opinons?

Hm. Short answer, see your sig. Long answer, if you own the car then they'd be hard pressed to tack on extra fees.

LOL. Tell them to suck it.

Trust me, they won't "trade back." They'd lose an @$$load on the deal.

Be sure you drill the "NOS" holes in the MOMO before you return it tho.

Everyone reading this should do themselves a favor and join "Pre-paid legal" services. It's worth it's weight in gold. They'll represent you for all traffic infractions, review contracts up to 9 pages and write nasty letters for you. I had a former employer threaten to sue me, so I had my pre-paid attorney send them a letter, end of discussion, case closed. I was recently cited for speeding (73 in a 60) in a costruction zone(No workers present, no equipment present, nothing but a stupid sign), the attorney went to pre-trial on my behalf and the case was dismissed at no cost to myself!
I know this doesn't help you now, but you should always read ALL your paperwork before you sign. NEVER say "I'll ask my parents", say rather,I'll consult my attorney and get back to you. I think it sounds like a scam.

Well many car dealers is doing this **** right now ..... even you buying a new car with loan on it .. they call you back after couple weeks and said "sir your load has been declined, if you wanna keep your car please put 2k more for downpay"

but guess what .... your monthly fee will stay the same and they just want the 2k more outta you .. this is SICK but you know .. many many dealers are doing this .. just depends on how they think of ya .. if they think you are weak and such .. BOOM you are on their play list ... if they think you are tough ... they might just let you go with your new toy...

Even Mitsu dealer does this too, one of my friend ended up giving his Evo back to dealership. he got his downpay back but he have to pay $420 for the tint removed by the dealerships own services department .... this is just totally sucked ...

buyers just watchout
