We took the connecting rods and pistons out, too!

I have a strong dislike for being on fire with the car waaaay over the limits of adhesion, my local track knowledge was the only thing that prevented Tommy P's Evo from burning down to the ground.

that sucks John but at least you were able to save the car. how did the car do before the engine let go? from your experience, how whould you rate Tommy's setup for the track (power to weight ratio, suspension, balance around corners etc..) just curious to hear your thoughts on this.

You won it in my book. with John Mueller @ the wheel on the road course in that car, he would have owned the pack of em.
and even without the road course what could beat a twisted AWD smoke show in that evo for the display of power catagory

Hows the 2.3 treating ya' ? ?
I like the 2.3 L a lot thus far - it would really spool up a GT35R fast. I have spun to 8900 a lot with no ill effects . . . we'll see as time goes by.

I've never met you Ferrarokid, but judging by the amount of exclamation points you're using, I'd guess that you're a pretty excitable person.

Congrats on the performance...looking forward to picking up my copy.

Lol ! yeah that was at just under 27 lbs .. Normally it's in the 650 range ! ! but we had only 2 pulls on that dyno & was expecting it to load the car a little more then it did .. hence the "lower" number !

The Evo was truly the badest car there, but im so sick of seing Evo's go down because of some kind of mechanical problem.

Almost every major compatition the Evo breaks.

Are these cars big pisses of $hit or what?

No but when increase the amount of hp from 271 to well over 600 hp things break.
