Sport Compact Car Uscc Dec Issue Is Out ! !

Check out the december issue of sport compact car !

All the results are in ! ! so close yet so far ! !

We had major engine failure ! ! (oil pump drive) and lost the motor on the road course ! !

Did pretty good in the other tests ! !

Also lost the "front diff" during the dragstrip tests ! ! did a transfer case swap in under an hour & reset the fast times at the strip ... makes for some good reading ! !

I'm glad they actually gave you recognition at the end though saying "if not for the engine failure you'd be seeing a Mitsubishi on this page.."

but I didn't like the fact they said "Muellerized indeed." about your engine failure, it just seemed kind of uncouth, like it was Mueller's fault the oil pump gave out. sometimes they really get under my skin at that magazine.

you had it in the bag too. Even with your engine problems you came in a decently close second. Good job! You just gotta do it again next year.

First off, great showing. Had the road course been the last event, you would have probably won, regardless of the engine failure.

Any thoughts/speculations on why the oil pump drive went out? I have a not-so-different setup from yours on my car ... needless to say, I'm a little concerned.

"1BYDFALT" was the perfect plate for that Skyline on the cover, because if your oil pump hadn't failed we'd see that beautiful red evo on the cover. I love your car. Do you plan to rebuild with a 2.0 again or stroke? Congrats on representing so well. I'm sure you will go back bigger and stronger next year.

scc..

Hey guy's thanks for the kind words !!

I have to say the event was a blast ! (no pun!) The magazine crew were top notch & lot of fun to boot !

Special thanks to Martin (AMS) who made the only complete passs in my car !!
and also John mueller & crew for the kick *** support !

If the car would have made the road course .. I know John was going to unleash some serious whip *** ! !

Still working on why the pump went .. will keep you posted .. 2006 should be a great a year, with some really good sponsers on board ..

Plans are to run the car at many time attack, drag events .. and bonneville for the 06' season ! !

Granny was the **** ! !

Do you have the balance shafts out?

Picked it up already. Great poo poo time reading. Sure seems like they were bagging on the other wide-body Evo a lot in that story though.
