i would have to say yes....thiner air=less oxygen. which inturns mean less combustion. less power. it shouldnt be to bad but i think it would be noticable.

I love colorado...but it definely will affect you Evo. Thin air sucks. I can't wait to try my car at sea level.

I have been told the elevation changes within the US is part of the reason the Evo comes here rich.

I will be testing this theory when I move to Colorado, but I think I'll have to wait until Spring for the tracks to re-open. I'm curious to see how much my times and mph will suffer. My comparison baseline will be 12.0 at 113. I find it hard to believe I'll drop to 13.0 @ 103, but we'll see. Maybe it will be somewhere in the middle?

It will be slower yes, but mostly just in off boost part of the power band, down low. It will bog really easily until you get into boost. I've driven my car to Phoenix and back and yes, it feels a lot quicker down there because the low end gets filled in with the thicker air. So it's not totally dead like it's wheezing for air, but down low you will feel a loss. Once you get into boost, the turbo makes up for the thin air.

I actually just got my Evo dyno'd at MAC autosports in Parker, CO, and I came out with 254hp/268tq, bone stock. It was a dynojet, but those seem just a tad high to me for completely stock.
