Stew sorry man, get a lawyer! You will need one asap! Better to be 15 min late than never.

When i'm late I don't speed up because of that reason. If you get caught you're going to waste even more time than just doing the speed limit.

you already have 4 tickets so you should have known the consequences of going so fast. at 107 why not just keep going and run? you may have had a better chance at outrunning the cop than getting a lawyer to fight this for you. im sure you'll get off w/o the wreckless but then it'll still be additional points added to your record which equates to $$$ on insurance.

down here in GA we have 75 mph limits so you'll find me doing 100+ sometimes (everyone else is traveling that fast) but i don't do that to work since we have flex-time i can come in and leave anytime i want just gotta do the 8 hours a day

no speeding=no speeding ticket.
It's a bummer but you control the car.

maybe you are not a daily driver then. in which case it makes sense. feel free to read the all the posts b4 you comment. 1 of the 4 was for 36 in a 25. not excessive what so ever. this was his first speeding excessively ticket. 1 is not a habit.

I don't buy this whole "Oh man don't tell me you've never gone over X speed in your Evo!" Some of us don't like speeding tickets and moreover some of us are responsible drivers. I head up to the track enough to not care about doing 160 on the highway and I know I am not alone in thinking like that.

And 107 on public roads isn't safe in any car, sorry.
lol, you sound like my 12 year old brother trying to argue with me. i'd mount a defense, but everyone else jumped all over this. thanks guys.

I'll leave you fellas alone now
maybe not(bs IMO), but i guarentee you talked on your cell phone while driving at least once before. which is much more dangerous. hitting 100 from 80 and back down to 80 takes all of 5 seconds. less time then it takes for you to hit speed dial 1 and send to tell your gf you are on the way home. your eyes not on the road is 10x more dangerous then 5 seconds of speeding.

how can you justify speeding if it is generally "accepted" and draw the line of what is safe and unsafe. thanks for proving MY point, which is you have no idea what your talking about accept for what is PC. it is much easier to say the law says it this way and it safer so everyone who doesn't listen is wrong. please grow a set and think about it a little more. everyday we put others in more danger then neccesary and it is not for doing 20 mph then what is generally "accepted".

[QUOTE=Stew]107 in a 65. ouch. Was late for work, cop was on an overpass shooting drivers from the rear after they passed. sneaky bastard had a buddy waiting up ahead at a scenic overlook.

cop1: "Morning! Any IDEA how fast you were going?!?!"
me: "not exactly, might have been a little quick I guess."
cop1: "A LITTLE QUICK?!?!? How does 107 sound!?"
me: "not good."
cop1: "damn right! License registration... yadda yadda."
.....cop2 rolls up behind cop 1
cop2: "What the HELL is at 107?!?"
me: "huh?" (I am dumbfounded at the phrasing of his question)
cop2: "Any reason you were aproaching Mach 1?!"
me: "oh, well i was a bit late. guess I should wake up earlier."
cop2: "damn right! You better have a valid drivers license."
me: "yup, cop 1 has it at the moment"
.
.
.

Summons in Nov. Not good considering the court date is for the day before my 30 day suspension is supposed to start for having 4 tickets in a 2 year period. Cop even spelled the reckless ticket: "Wreckless Driving".

You deserve whatever you get.

1 word, 1 number

Valetine 1.

Also, slow it down man, going 80-85 in a 65 is one thing, going 100+ is just asking for it.

V1 + 90mph-100mph on the NJ turnpike. U gotta use other cars as your shields. If you were going alittle slower you could've seen it a little earlier. I suggest to get a lawyer and buy a valentine 1.
