EVO violated in theft lastnight.....need an alarm!!!

Lastnight my EVO was violated in a big way......well only cd's were taken, but still, they trashed my interior. Threw things from the front end to the back. Looking for an alarm with a pager if possible. Anyone out there have any good luck with their alarms? If you do, please list the model you have, were you purchased it and how much. Thanks everyone.

painful to hear, first mod on my 05 evo Clifford matrix 10.5 2way pager, with the works trunk pop, pain siren inside car, self contained backup battery, tilt sensor, pin switches all around, was spendy $890 but the evo is worth it.

good lord man you got taken for a ride....

I have the DEI Python 2 way lcd pager/transmitter...175 done deal out the door. Of course this is with dealer pricing and me installing it, but it was definatly worth it. 5 sirens later, and nobody will want to trip this alarm....trust me..

Get the 2WSS-AS (alarm with remote start) by Compustar. The alarm is compatible with manual cars which is great. Here's the link to their site: http://www.compustar.org/security_with_remote_start.htm . That's the one I have on my car and I love it.

What is a "pain siren"? I have an idea, and I think I like it!

It is an alarm that sounds at a frequency that is really uncomfortable to the human ear, it will make some people sick to their stomachs and then toss their cookies.

There is a place near me that has an alarm system that will link into the existing remote and basically sets when you lock the car doors.

Does the EVO have anything already that will sound the horn if it's locked and somone breaks the window, unlocks the door, and opens it?

true, if you havent ever installed an alarm I wouldnt begin that adventure on the EVO. The EVO isnt extra hard by any means, but definatly not one I would practice on.

I guess the price isnt that bad, once you add all of the sensors and sirens.

On my eclipse I had all of the sensors you listed, but it just got to be more of an nusense than anything.

A basic starter kill, and some interior/exterior sirens will do just fine. If they want to steal something that bad, they will do so regardless...
