I got the Passport 8500 X50. I love it, it has saved me so many times. After researching the V1 and X50, the X50 came up as a winner in Car & Driver and I think radartest.com, when I bought mine. And it was $100-150 cheaper.

Its kinda like comparing Lambos and Ferraris, they are both good.

 

Research for the best choice.

Each of the top detectors has it's own special advantage (Bel, Valentine, Escort).
