I am replacing my clutch as we speak...35k on the stocker with many launches. ACT street disc is going in now!

 

23k dozens of 5-7k launches. 1st awd and first race car. lots of stop and go traffic, most of my commute to work is in 1st and 2nd gear stop and go. knock on wood.

 

I have close to 38k on mine, I'll get 40k easily.

 

I'm facing something similar right now... my clutch is fine (not stock) but my TOB is rattling like a ****. I don't want to pull everything out just for that, but I may have to. I've already bought a new disc and flywheel, just in case. Of course I'm the kind of driver that rips off at stoplights if the minivan next to me slightly revs the engine I have 40K miles, but I'm on my 3rd clutch. My stocker went out around 15K and I put in a 6-puck race disc. It grabbed and performed very well (40+ launches at the dragstip, plus hard daily driving), but I couldn't live with it on a daily basis, so I put in a spec Stage 2, which has been great and very streetable except the TOB issue. Both aftermarket clutches have lasted very well through many hard launches. Or maybe I'm just becoming a better driver

Just turned 34K.

Ran at the tracks 3 weeks ago with 12 launches between 1.81-1.86 60 ft's. Crappy ES100's.

12.6@110 stock clutch.

Not to freak you out or anything but that is how mine started. I could hear it rattling and then one day I went to shift from 3rd to 4th and the clutch pedal would not go down and it was permanently engaged. I drove without the clutch for about 50 miles because I was in the middle of nowhere Iowa and figured it would take a tow truck four hours to get there. I got to a bigger town and went to the casino. Well they f'd up and got the wrong town and it took me about 8 hours to finally get a tow. On the bright side, I left there a couple of hundreds bucks ahead. Boy was that a trip. In my DSM, I went through three clutches in 10,000 miles including the stocker before the current CM Stage 4, 4-puck. The clutches consisted of a stock one, a CM 2500, and an ACT 2600. Guess you could safely say I'm hard on them.

 

Yeah, reading that gives me more reason to get it done quickly! I wanted to do it before the big races at MIR this weekend, but I've had no time. Now I'm not going to put it off anymore...

 

burnt my clutch 3 times when I first launched the car when I bought it. I have 32K and it holds up fine. No slipping knock on wood. I am aiming for 60K

BTW, I got cams, turbo back with hi flow cat, EBC, intake, flash, fuel pump, about the HP level u r talking about

 

2003, 20K on stock clutch and still as good as the first say I bought it!

 

5k on a stock clutch then it put out the magic smoke(ha ha)

 

2003 36k + over 300 whp still stock

 

mine is same as insidious. just went over 36k and probably close to over 300whp and its still fine. that doesnt mean that i havent been think about it. my next purchase will probably be it!
