Congrats What year is your car? I had a 03 clutch that last 6000 miles. I also purchased my car during the first US shipment. I personally feel the linkage or clutch grab feel that causes the short clutch life. My 05's clutch feels much smoother and different.

How many of you with high miles on the stock clutch have your restrictor removed?
I'm surprised someone hasn't brought this up yet.

Hmmm... all of you suck.

I have 43k miles and the 3rd clutch is about to go in. 1st one lasted 19k miles and the 2nd one lasted until 24k miles...now Im dropping in the Exedy twin so I shouldnt have anymore problems.

Oh BTW...I dont launch my car and I dont take it to the track. (only once)

Must be driving habits then... I rev match at all times, double clutch when I can, I basically drive for the life of the clutch. I read the boards before I got my Evo so I knew that was a problem point. I've never launched, but I have made it stink twice in it's lifetime, once in a parking garage (got stuck on the ramp behind a 4runner) and once getting into a hilly driveway.

I have 37k as well on my stocker. Few 12 second runs, no 11s though. Next year that will all change, and I think maybe the stocker might be gone by then anyway.

42K, no problems. I've been rough on it too though it hasn't been making a whole lot of power during the majority of its life. I attribute most of this good fortune to replacing the clutch line and removing the pill during the first 50 miles of owning the car.

I've got a new Tilton sitting on the shelf too, it's really a shame my stocker has lasted this long

I got 34k out of mine and it would have made it to 40k no problem.

Pushing 45k here with no issues. Still on stock lines, restrictor, everything. However, when it comes time to replace, I'll put the SS line in.
