Waaayyyy tooooo much!! I bought a 05' with 10K miles for 24.5K, so screw that price, but my car did have a scuffed up rim anda 2'' paint scratch. Nothing that $400 bucks won't fix.

The Dealer called me back today and said that they can do $500 off MSRP. I told them that I wanted an electric blue evo 9. They asked me. "would you buy today if I get it?", and I said, "If we can get the numbers right". I'm waiting for his call back on the dealer locate for the car. How can I get them to go lower?

hmm.. thats to much but the 2003 is the best drag racing platform.. plus Its all ready for alky injection with the water resovoir.. there are advantages to each model really.. I would pay maybe $500 more for an 05 in the same condition same mileage.

I just ran a KBB on a 2003 w/32K. Private party is listed as $24500.00. Either people on this board are full of crap about how much they paid for their cars, or you are looking to get screwed. If I was the seller, I would not budge on that price. There is a saying in the car business. "there is an *** for every seat". The only real question is if your the *** or not?

I'm so confused about which Evo to get. I can go with the IX, or they also have an 05 MR demo that the owner drove. It has 700 miles. I think they are asking like 32-24k. I don't remember. It was close to the price of an 06 w/ ssl. I think it was 34 though. They said they can give me the best deal on that one. I'm going to go crazy

I don't believe alot of the new prices posted on this forum. Go ask what a 03' fetches at a auction? It's normally 18-20K you can't go buy KBB. They have multiple EVO IX's at Luxurymotors.com, that's where I bought my car, for 30,128$ for a base. They have a few 05' SSL Apex Silvers for 29.7K.

I wouldn't buy a 9 if your going to mod it. Who know how long and how it will respond it might take a year or more to see if Mivec is good or bad.

Good luck and keep looking.

I also think a lot of the prices posted on this board are crap. Or it could just be California. Evos were being sold 30k + in 03 when they first came out. I can maybe believe someone paid somewhere around invoice for an EVO in a rural state/town where no one knows what the hell an EVO is and didn't care.

Some people may have good luck purchasing used Evos, but considering the nature of cars like this, I'd have much more peace of mind buying a new one that I knew wasn't abused.

Tell him to come down to $24.5K, its a great deal. Goodies like HIDs came stock on the 03s, on the 05s you have to get the ssl package. Even if you get below MSRP on an 05 with 0% APR, you are still looking at paying $30K+ after tax, license and registration.

Save yourself $6K and buy yourself an 03! Someone else already took the depreciation hit, just my 2 cents!

I just bought my '03 EVO this week for $23K and it only had 18,444 miles on it. You would definitely be paying too much.
