Shop Estimate any good?

I have had my gauges for a while however there still sitting in their boxes looking pritty. So its gonna kill me if I dont get them installed. I called the only shop in my area that would install something I didnt buy threw them and they quoted me at $255.00 to install a Defi-D Boost and EGT gauge, in my duel a-piller pod. He figured about 3 hours of work, witch sounded right. So my question for you is, is the price good or would it be worth the drive into Orange County, SoCal somewhere to do it cheaper?

BTW I would do it myself, but the EGT gauge scares me to death, so ill let someone who has done it b4 do it.

do the boost gauge yourself and save some money. Run all the wires for the and then have them do the tap for the egt. You'll save about all of that $250. Go to lancershop.com and they have a link that walks your through how to install the defi d boost gauge. I did a boost and AF with dual piller in under an hour. The EGT is easy once the manifold has the port made.

the only real hard part would be the EGT tap, everything else is a peice of cake. But $255.00 sounds good considering he has to (or should) take off the exhaust manifold to tap it.

For this job, I would charge $180.
