can you block the EGR valve off like you can in the older cars (i know it wont pass emissions) does any 1 know if it will though the ck engine or will it run any better or is it worth doing........just some imput please

 

There is no point to block off the EGR valve, it is 100% closed at full throttle anyway. The only thing you would do by blocking it off is lose gas milage.

 

You will have more torque in part throttle mid rpm. But IMO that doesnt really matter...if you want more torque, you step in a little further.

As Razo said, the only thing that would happen by blocking EGR would be to loose fuel economy and f-up your emissions and ECU feedback systems.

EGR is actually a pretty nice feature. Unfortuantely not all nice cars have it.

 

hey thanks for the imput i probally wasn't going to block it off anyway unless it did something amazing. but i only get like 16mpg city anyway
