Will aftermarket HIDs work with MR headlights?

Will aftermarket HIDs work with MR headlights?

I have an 05 non ssl and have an aftermarket HID kit. Will these transfer or fit on JDM MR headlights? I want to know before i buy them. Thank you

Has anyone here done this? I need to know before i buy these lights. Dont wana buy them and then have issues when i install them

They should work but the control that comes on the MR headlights (raise and lower headlight) will not work.

Right because the nonssl comes w/o it. I just want to be able to put to transfer the HID kit to the MR headlight.

If anyone has done this, PLEASE post so i can have 100% certainty before i make a purchase

if those lights are for the japanese market, you are going to have wrong cut off and actually have less visibility where you want it.

us light pattern : __/ __/

japan : \__ \__

or does it not do that?

he's right...something with the beam pattern. The beam pattern for U.S. spec cars is different because we drive on the right side of the road. While in Japan, you drive on the left side of the road. Notice how when you put your HID's against a wall the right side tends to be a little higher than the left. That's what poohlvhun is talking about.

Oh i see, thanks. I guess ill have to be sending them to Evo Dave. I really wanted teh real JDM MR headlights

Or get Evo IX headlight US version.. they are look like Smoke chorme.. but it Black.. it nice

I like those but i like the real JDM ones better. Thats why im trying to find out if i can install my aftermarket kit on them

you need D2S bulbs to fit the MR headlights... i have done this conversion and had to buy new bulbs
