dyno comparison

does anybody have a list/chart that shows the different hp ratings for different dynos.. for example a chart showing if you have xx whp on a mustang dyno that would = xx on a dynojet... and/or any other dyno..

and yes i did do a search..

There is no such thing; that's why no one answered. Not all dynos read the same relative to one another, so there is no conversion factor.

In fact, one of the import mags did an article on dyno's in California a couple of years back. They took the same car to different dyno shops. The same type same day same car results where as much as 20% different. There are some approximations that can be applied on how different dynos indirectly measure resistance (torque) but it is a moving target.

The problem with discussing numbers is that it is very difficult to believe that dyno's read high when it is your car.

ok this being said.. is this one reason most places do multiple pulls..to get an average? or is it just to do more "tuning". so when people make posts about i got xxxwhp and they're really excited/upset.. those results could have gone either way.... another thing.. is this why "street tuning" is so important???
