My thought is that since you dynoed on two different days, there were many environmental variables that could have affected your results. The fairest way to compare dyno runs is by eliminating as many variables as possible (i.e. ambient temperature, fuel quality, etc.) When we're talking about 15-20 awhp, 10 hp off the expected target hp is well within the margin of error given the variability of the trials (dyno runs).

Those seem pretty low. Dirty air filter or fluids maybe?

Is your car tuned? Without you car will not be optimised to take advantage of the free flowing exhuast.

I haven't gotten it tuned yet. My air filter is a little dirty, so maybe that's it. I was getting scared that getting the pieces welded together would be the problem. Any thoughts on that?

The thing that got me curious on the power increase was that I raced my friend in a turbo RSX-S stock and it was dead even the whole way (from a roll) then after the exhaust the outcome was the same.

thanks for the replies though.

I have seen over the past two years that the Buschur exhuast is consistantly the highest power and best designed exhuast on the market

I still run the standard 3" Buschur exhuast that they sell on my 9 second evo

No i'm using the test pipe. If i had a scanner i'd post up the graph. There's two points where it gets very eratic. That's at 2000rpm and 4000rpm. Even while driving I can feel it surge at those rpms.

I think i may have figured it out. I just noticed when starting from a stop my car shutters likes it's struggling. Kinda feels like my clutch is going maybe. Could that cause power loss?

You can see the dyno sheet and all details in the "Evo Envy 3" article in the Jan 06 issue of Turbo Magzine
