i don't know why it wouldn't fit the IX
Both the VIII and IX are the CT9A body, correct?
the only cosmetic difference is the front bumper, and the intercooler is a little off center on the IX.

It should fit no problem. But ask APR first if looking to buy.

Does it widen the wheelbase or just the fenders? If it widens the wheelbase I wonder how that affects handling.

With the wider fenders you can go with wider rims/tires=TRACTION! Can you say 10.5 wide rims.

Wheelbase refers to the distance between the front and rear wheels. So no, it does not move the wheels forward or rearward. You can however fit wider wheels in there which is what it is actually intended for.

Wide Body Kit = Wide Body Duh! It Widens The Fenders And You Also Can Get Wheel Spacers To Make The Wheel Base Wider Thus For Better Handling Its A Sweet Kit But Very Expensive.

I think he was wondering why it's so good. Meaning there are better ways to spend your money than just a bodykit. Something I don't believe the Evo really needs since it looks great as is. I am sure buying performance parts are much cheaper and has a better impact on the function of the car.
