The fact you do smoke in the car is far worse than the fact you installed the wind deflectors, though, so I'd rather not have known that. I shake my head in disgust and awe everytime I see a car owner smoking inside an expensive vehicle. It may help that the windows are always down, but if a non-smoker gets in the car, the smell is unmistakably horrid.
I know the smell you are refferring to and i hate it as well. but my car does not have that. i know i am a smoker and can't tell blah blah. but i do several things to ensure the smell is only a hint. vacuum every piece of cloth in the car, clean interior often (dust/ash is the main source of the smell), never smoke w/ windows up, never smoke with heat or a/c on or within a few minutes of a cig, smoke only 1-2 cigs/day in there, keep windows open as often as possible, keep cigarette by window so smoke gets sucked out, blow smoke towards open window, don't leave car with cig still lit (so no stale smoke lingers in your car when it is parked), air fresheners, blow recirc heat or a/c w/ windows open whenever you can (obviously not while smoking or near after). and the best thing you can do is buy an ionic breeze from sharper image. i have got into a fully baked car w/ one and could not smell a thing. i don't know how they work, but they do. if you follow all of these guidelines your car will smell only a little if at all. anyone who says they do that and still has the smell in their car is lying.

well they have function unlike the most expensive sticker in the world. IMHO i would rather have those then a uk badge. not saying that you have one, but many here do. i think they are tacky and rice. they do not add anything and are way too expensive. i don't even notice them on evos and often the ones with uk badges are extreme noobs who also got there nice ssqv with there badge.

shadowist-not easy enough to do that, that would be crazy. but they make quite difference when it gets hot out too.

[QUOTE=NapervilleEVO]not as gay as paying $100 for a uk badge.

[QUOTE]

I dont understand , the "EVOLUTION VIII" is very classy and adds to the looks of the car IMO .
A mbc with a gage is a good start or get a flash for $50 more , thats your best bang for your buck .

ummm, didn't say you did, but it certainly is a popular "mod" that was suggested by others in this thread who also had the same feelings towards air deflectors. despite your belief every post was intended for you it was not even if what you posted was being used as a general consensus.

i was just saying that to defend my opinion "to each his own." it was a comparison and play on words. if you want to spend $100 on a expensive sticker go ahead. it was $200 (my cheapest power mod) and it added quite a lot in the midrange as well as little up top where it counts. the only way I could get as much whp from a $200 mod is a ud pulley which i will not be buying.

that's cool with me man, different goals and how to get there...

I'm not up for making XXX awhp... I'm more about just catering to myself and how I want to build my car and what parts bring me the greatest satisfaction... to each his own

^^^as am I. i just found a good deal on one, they are cheap, but i have had no problems with it yet (knock on wood). even if it cracks it was an easy install and i still have my stocker. plus i could go through 2-3 before i pay what i would of one a "nice" header. i personally think all aftermarket headers are not quality. everyone uses the wrong material. none of them provide much more hp over the other, too.
