ah... NO. Evodave's work is not bad. But not better than the "real" JDM pieces.
You probably have not seen the real Evo 7 tailights... they are very nice. The price is another thing but they are nice. Much like the very expensive JDM headlights... super sweet but pricey.

 

Seriously??? I thought the JDM VII lights were fake! They look rice. The VIII ones looks much better! J/K

You're right, they are very nice. And of course the quality of a factory piece vs. a taken-apart-and-put-back-together piece is going to be better... I'm just talking straight looks (IMO), not overall quality or perfection. I've most certainly seen the real JDM tails -in fact I had a pair in hand that I was debating buying- and I think they're too orange. I prefer the deeper shade of red. Then again I think even the RR Evo could be a few shades deeper...

 

I also said the vinyl overlays look better, but I definitely wouldn't claim they _are_ better...

I didn't pay 400, but I'd pay that just to get rid of the terrible looking stock ricer taillights.

I bought a pair of VII's for my 03 shortly after I got it. With shipping the pair cost me under $300. I transfered them over to my 06 and sold my stocks to a guy with a white RS. They look alot better on his car than they ever did on mine.
