Actually, you still auto-x and road race in the rain. At autocrosses, the fwd/rwd guys are always praying it doesn't rain so that the AWDs don't run away with FTD...at least in my experience.

Driving in the rain is the best way to improve driving skills . Remember how Schumacher ( Formula 1 driver ) buried all competition on rainy tracks ? So , yeah autoxing while raining is a great thing and few people really drives well in this kind of condition .

Another thing , keep in mind that the 2 RWD pilots are really good ones ( Tsuchiya and Orido ) and the Evo pilot was so so and a bit unexperienced also .

not wanting to come out as a jerk here, but i believe u meant the 2 RWD pilots. and yes they are the better drivers in the video (i have seen almost all the best motoring series as well). it was a pretty crazy "battle" though..

 

Sorry to bust your bubble, but waki-saka (evo driver) is very much an experince driver. He's been driving autosports since his late teens. I guess you don't watch or keep up with JGTC.
