My detached garage has two doors so I can drive right thru into the carport.

Yes it is staked down with four stakes. Mine has held up to 40mph gusts and arseloads of snow. Its not completely weather proof as some snow does blow in but its much better than parking it outside with just a car cover. I've tried that and those covers really aren't all that great. Sometimes they end up collecting more dirt and trash than an uncovered car would.

I remember Wal-Mart carries that. I'm going to check it out today.
Thanks for that pic!
Just updating this thread for those who search for car covers.
I decided to go with the portable garage that Sam's Club sells for $200. It's perfect and also comes with windows. I also picked up a $40 breathable car cover from WalMart as a backup. It works out great since my garage is used as a storage.
Here is a quick pic
**quick note: If you decide to go with the portable garage, make sure you bolt the poles to the ground or else you'll end up like me. Long story short, It was windy and raining the night I put the tent up, and the poles decided to scratch and dented the driver side door, quarter panel, fender, bumper of my brand new evo9. The damage was $1,200. What a waste of money. I learned the hard way.

Sorry to hear about the damage.
My carport has been holding up quite well. We had about 6 inches of snow last week and all I had to do was brush the canapy top off with a broom.
Mine is staked down and currently frozen down as well.

Glad to hear that it withstood 6inches of snow. Here we had 3 inches recently and likewise, I just had to brush the snow off the top. Hope it'll do the job with the snowstorms to come.
