wanted to know if anyone has that website where it says the power gains on each intakes.. mostly looking for the hks intake and the injin intake that comes with the uicp.. wanted to know the difference between the both.. because if i got the hks i wanted to get all the piping for the intercooler also.. so one of the other questions is, is there any power gain if i got the upper piping from somewhere else
Dont quote me on this one, but i believe DynoFlash said that you can gain up to 11 whp by going with the HKS RS intake kit. What i dont know though, is whether that is against the stock intake or not. Also, it would depend on how agressive the tune. I myself prefer HKS, along with my buddies, but for the value, the injen is great. The injen filter sucks, but buy it for the intake part and for the Upper intercooler piping, and replace the filter with either a K&N or a Apex-i Power intake filter
does this help? http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

So, in a nutshell, whenever a noob decides to be lazy and not search first, he makes it harder for the next noob who actually makes some effort to find the info without starting the 500,001st intake thread.
plus its these threads over and over again, that has almost all the knowledgeable members at other sites.. they finnally got sick and tired of this... it is hard for us who know the site quite well, hard to find things... i would be alot better if we were allowed to have an advanced forum.. something to keep our interests, and ideas going, not having to sift through endless f-ing bov, exhausts, intake threads.. by the time a good idea comes up, its lost in the endless baroge of these threads.. so instead of asking why we get aggravated, use the search button on that topic and you will see the answer to your ques.. see if you searched you wouldnt have had to post why cant we just help.. so in posting, instead of searching you helped the prob... i justed wasted bandwidth typing this, again..

as i add to the cause.....
Yeah, because instead of moving this to the newbie forum, it stays here and when you search for something you get 100x posts that say "SEARCH FIRST!!!"
So instead of posting search first, I'll normally offer the information that I have and at the bottom post "This can be found with the search feature"

On the note about the IC pipe. I noticed that under acceleration, the factory rubber braided pipe expands. Could that have a negative affect on Performance? Are there worthwhile benifits to replacing the stock IC piping with the Buscher piping kit(pretty costly)?

On a side note, when do you get the opportunity to watch your IC hoses while driving at WOT?
