Did I buy the right NGK plugs for my 05 EVO????

I went to Pep Boys tonight and got a set of BPR7ES-11's

In actuality I was looking for BPR7ES's but took a chance on the "11's"

Is it the same?

Hmm, we don't get the ones that end with -11. That means it has a 1.1mm (.44) gap. I would imagine these won't work unless you're able to gap them back down to .24-.27.

those plugs (the 11's) are designed to run a larger gap. You can use them, but it will be hard to get your ground electrode parrallel to the center electrode. When you gap them down, it'll be at an angle instead of "flat", if that makes sense.

Try this link.

http://www.ngk.com/sparkplug411.asp

Then go down to where it says manufacturure's numbering system, and click on NGK. That should help explain things in a little more detail.

I think those were the plugs I used on my Integra. They might be a little small.

Just go to Autozone or Advanced Auto. They carry both the 7s and 8s, and if they don't have any in stock, they'll get some transferred over from another local store. If no store has them, they will order some from the warehouse. I always try to purchase multiples sets so that I have spares...
