I've noticed many inquires regarding how many 06 Evolution's will make it to our shore this year. Well, Boys the number is grim .....6625 (RS,IX,MR's).

This number is based on all model Evo's so you gotta figure out of 6 thousand cars most of them will be RS, XI so even if they produce 2500 MR's that's 2500 for how many million in the USA?.

Better to get your orders in fast !!!!!!!!

 

The number of MR's is right around 1000 (per Mitsubishi Southwest Regional Sales Manager).

Yea...I figured somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 myself..... no worries my MR is on order already.

 

I read that only 800 2006 MR's would be sold in the US.

 

I think that was the original number but because of last years sales they allocated another 200!

I think 1500 is a little high!

crap, thats double what mitsu sold in 03, they'll be sittin on the lots for a LONG time now...

 

not really, considering 03 was the first year in the US people that wernt into the jap auto scene didnt know what one was. A lot more people know what they are now so I doubt they will have much trouble selling that many.

 

2003 was probably the year they produced the most. They cut back quite a bit for each year after.

 

I'd think that if the demand was there, Mitsu would import as many as they could sell...That just business common sense. They will import the number they predict they can sell while obtaining the greatest overall margin of profit. Trust me they pay people to figure these things out. They aren't only importing 1000 MRs for example because they want the car to be rare. They are doing it because that is th numbe they expect to be able to sell before the EVO X comes out.

 

The MR = MaRketing. No more. Give me an RS w/power windows anyday.

 

The 6speed tranny is worth the price alone. The tranny is bulletproof compared to the 5speed unit.

 

If you want a 6sp. thats cool but bulletproof....eh...

 

I thought it was the otherway around ?

 

there was......

2500 -- 03s (all)

4500 -- 04s (all)

1200 --- 05 MRs

and I believe 1000 06 MRs

 

I thought the 5speed was known to be a better unit.
