Question Everyday Use of EVO ?

Is there anyone out there that plans on using their EVO as an everyday car, winter and summer. I realize this car has some special maintainence requirements and I believe I can live with those, I guess I am just wondering whether this car is only feasible if it is a second car?

It's my daily driver, and I'll drive it year-round. It's nice to live in Florida; NO SNOW!!! Unfortunately, I'm in the military and tend to leave for months at a time, possibly in the next few weeks. Oh well, that's life.

Good grief yes! I fully expect my new EVO to be completely and totally useful as an everyday car. I would not spend $30K for a car to keep in the driveway I called a dealer who offered to do the oil changes for $49, that's not too bad and I could do them for $30 or so (Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil). That's about all you need to do plus rotate the tires every 5K miles. The rest is standard maintenance like any other new car....

BTW, it's an awesome car

Of course, why not?

There are no special maintence requirements other than synth oil changes at 5K intervals, whats so different about that?

People if you drive the car hard, please change your oil earlier then 5K miles.. Synthetic doesn't break down like dino oil, but the filter still gets dirty..

I plan on changing mine ~3K miles. We'll see how it looks.. Might be able to get 4-5K miles out of it. but i am not betting on it till i see it.

Once I sell the NSX, and trade in my Ford Focus (daily beater) for the EVO; I plan on using the EVO as a daily driver.

Yup. Daily driver here as well. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's just too much fun.

LOL Option2 - For the last 2 two years (since I sold my last all out sports car) I've been watching the used NSX market planning on buying "just the right car". I never found quite the deal I was looking for. My roomate turned me on to the Evo a few weeks ago. After some soul searching (and deciding I didn't really want another car that sat in my garage for 6 or 7 months at a time) I broke down and orderd my Evo about 2 days ago.

I should be picking it up in May and do plan to use it as a daily driver. I live in Minnesota so it will see plenty of rain, sleet and snow.

Good news guys! I'm also planning to buy the EVO VII as my daily driver in the coming days HOPEFULLY.

Of course the only thing holding me back is when will the EVO VIII be released in Japan/Europe? I live in Bahrain, and the dealer got a couple of brand new EVO VII's. He's not really giving me a great deal of info. regarding the VIII. Anyone? (I know it's sort of not the subject here, but it led me to this question )

I'm selling my Type-R and my 94 blazer and using the Evo as a daily driver. I figured the payments would add up to about the same amount but the insurance would be less paying for one car instead of two.
