unfortunately STI's sell more but over the years the Evo sales are jumpiog while STI sales are declining.

I've taken in over 5 STI's in as trades this year.

The sad part is the Preowned STI sell 10X fast that preowned Evo's.

I Had an Evo and STI up on Ebay a month ago. I got 3 bids on the Evo and 40 on the STI

ha.. yeah but who cares.. according to shiv the IX makes more whp. ever think the insurance might be more on a car advertised as 300hp rather then 276.. I think they are doing us a favor by underestimating the power.

Obviously this won't affect American sales, though. But it seems to me that Americans are more concerned with the stock HP number than anything else. And the STi beats the EVO there.

But hey, I own a IX MR, so you know MY choice.

sti's (3800 sent to us/year) hold value better than regular 8's or 9's (6k sent per year) but MR's (1200 sent last year) hold the most value.

that figure was based on an avg of 15 dealers i called in CA to find a ww 06 w/ssl foir a buddy. the cheapest price i got was $35,600. the highest in CA was $49,900 for a gg 06 MR (socal area)! i found 1 in texas for $30,900 OUT THE DOOR! it saves 2 SHOP AROUND...

I compared a '04 Evo w/ 28000 miles to an '04 STi on ww.nadaguides.com
The Sti was $100 more both trade in and average retail. I think an STi cost more then
an Evo new though. Your zip code may vary.

The non SSL is cheaper then the STI, but with the SSl the EVO cost more, I had a friend that got his 04 STI stolen and his insurance paid him 29500 for the car. He only paid 32k before TTL.

i would imagine the IX is outselling the 06 STi based solely on the fact that the new STi is real ugly. on of my buddies has an 04 STi and he absolutely hates the new ones.

Right, I did not add any options to either when I booked them out.

Agree! The new STIs are soooooo ugly. My sister in law's bf bought one last month for like 40k otd! My husband and I thought he made the dumbest decision, first for getting jipped, second for getting an ugly car. I would've just bought the 05 or below, but hey whatever floats his boat, right?
