Finally getting my car where I want it to be, so I said no way! See sig. for mods

 

Too much invested already at this point and the MIVEC isn't enought to sway me. The money I would lose on trading mine I will just use towards an AMS stroker and head job. At that point there would be no comparison, spool up, power, etc.

i dont have an Evo yet, but honestly, i'll be happy as hell with any year of Evo..... though now that i'm gettin one of course i'm going for the IX cuz it's newer and stock for stock better.

i knew you going to make thread about this... do what im doing man keep the 8.. it would be cheaper to convert an 8 to a 9 then tradeing the 05 in... thats why i traded the 03 on the 05.. im happy now.. no need to evolve to a nine, just refine your 05..

 

I would hella do it. The power potential of the nine simply blows the doors off everything that the eight even stood for. I mean, WTF?............300 awhp with just a reflash and a tbe??? Get the f outta here! This car is truly the next "evolution" of the evo imho.

 

It's really no suprise cause these cars don't come cheap...... and unless you sell your eight outright to a private party, you'll probably lose thousands on the trade in.... and talking about saturating the market with improved evo after more improved evo in the course of less than two years, the blue book on these things unfortunately doesn't apply with these cars.

There's probably even no difference between selling and trading at the rate that the new evos are coming out...

+1 and man I bought me Evo at Aug/05 and dealer keep asking me why dont I wait for 9... I said coz I dont wanna pay extra for 9 while I can get 3k off on 8.


BTW I think 8 front bumper is way better than 9s, but its just me.

I voted no because I don't want to lose trade-in value, even though my car is a '03.

If somebody allowed me to trade up to a IX (even a RS) without spending over $3500 while allowing me to keep my mods, then I'll do it. But that's just not gonna happen.
