Looks nice, but I want to see one after a few years of engine heat.

Wasn't there something similar to this before, I seem to remember a another Clear Cam Gear Cover way back when. Regardless, they look nice and if I had an Evo I would get one for sure.

UV can degrade the optical properties of polycarbonate over extended exposure, but engine heat won't do a thing to the cover. Polycarb begins to get soft at around 375F. My Evo's engine oil temp and water temps never get over 80-90C. If you melt one or yellow one, I'll give you a refund.

Gotta get me one! I had some rubbing with the aftermarket cam-gears, hopefully there is a tolerance for those under this. I would hate to scuff it up with that. With the Weapon R engine dampner, it kind of slightly pushes in the cam-gear cover also. will try one! and report back of course.

Don't try to use the site www.ZakleeCorp.com for the Xmas special. It'll be tough.

Not HKS... but here is a shot of the cover with Vishnu gears. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The best thing about the cover is that you can check that your adjustable cam gears are alligned properly and haven't slipped.

SmokedMustang -

I had rubbing with the stock cover, as well. That's what inspired me to make the Clear Cover. Since I made the Clear Cam Gear Cover with additional clearance for all aftermarket cam gears, I think you'll find that the Weapon R engine mount bracket interferes with the Clear Cover. It did on my Evo.

However, here's where I get to say that the up and coming Zaklee Engine Damper will indeed clear the Clear Cam Gear Cover.

Derek -

The cover clears all aftermarket cam gears. The cam drive belt has a "plane of operation" and a width of the belt determines the width of all aftermarket cam gears. There really isn't any impetus for any manufacturer to make cam gears that are any wider that anyone elses.

Heron -

The Cover won't fit over the MIVEC bulge on your intake cam. Sorry!

Smoggy -

Thanks for another shot of your bad**s engine compartment!

What about exhaust temperatures in south Texas in August rush hour traffic? j/k

Thanks for the schooling robert. I am still interested if they look as good after a few years... whether it's heat of just general wear and tear, nothing beats real world testing.
