another post regarding noise

my engine is making this weird constant tick tick tick noise like a timebomb. this is what i think..

something might be vibrating on something. looked for over an hour cant find nothing.

someone planted a bomb.

oil

car not ready for winter?

just regular noise?

i recently got an oil change im guessing there might not be enough oil? also its snowing like crazy over here in IL maybe water got into my intake? i dont want to take it to dealership because i had a early christmas present installed. (intake)

you're guessing you might be low on oil and that's why you're ticking? And you don't want to take it to the dealership?

Do you know how to check the oil level, or are you just too lazy? Dude, sell the EVO, and buy something less maintenance intensive! If you can't check the oil level in your own car, the EVO WILL eat your lunch!

did this sound just start out of the blue?

is there a chance you may have just not noticed it before?

the injectors are pretty loud on these cars.

Your engine is dead

Just kidding, DSM's seem to tick a lot, some people say it's the injectors, others say it's the lifters.

Injectors.. They are loud as Injectors on a EVO.

Mine does it all the time, first thing in morning, evening and night. Driving all day, no matter. It is loud, I agree.

No, you're okay. I am running 5w-30 in mine for the winter. Check your level.
