I just installed an S2000 on my car, as in, I just walked in from doing it and read this post. The S2000 antenna left no gap with the vortex generator on it.

I have an '05 with the Perrin, and had the same gap....

I took off that dinky Perrin sticker around the bottom and ground it down. Works fine now :-)

Thanks all! Welll the concensus seems to be "some gap" "some no gap"

So I'm just gonna file/dremel a little of the screw and yes take of the "dinky" perrin sticker as one member put it!

Thanks again guys/gals

I had the gap also on my antenna for my 2005 GSR.

I ended up using a bolt cutter to take off about 1/8" and then used a file to ground/smooth it out. I then used some loctite around the thread and screwed it on.

Fits perfect now!

so it sounds like the 05s have gap, but not so for 03s? (and 04s I guess). I have a Perrin on my 03 with no gap.

Sorry for the bad pic, It's late and I just wanted to show you guys mine.

It's not really that bad of a gap. Hell, I don't even notice it. I might try that O-Ring suggestion now.
