had a gap on my 03.
tightening the bolt helped a little, but I ended up doing the "get rid of the dinky sticker" and ground the bolt down with a dremel.
perfect.

I just traded my 06 IX for an 03 VIII, so my perrin shorty antenna would fit right, thanks for the input guys

We are so **** aren't we? Kinda weird also how the '04's and 06's fit fine, but the bastard child of the '05 in between has issues. Maybe the Mitsu plants ran out of 32t bolts and used 28t instead.
