octane boosters

does anybody recommend using a octane booster to help with the low octane 91 premium in cali and if so which one thanks

well lol i hate to say it but the black NOS octane booster really does help improve the octane. You can really feel it. Hope that helps.

i use the "jet fuel" in the red or orange bottle (can't remember the color) every once in a while, but it's like 5 bucks.

I did read a lot about it I just don't think I really wanna start mixing up gas incase I **** it you know how mitsu is about warranty stuff

Its not much different than adding an octane booster. When you go to the station to fill up you put in the desired amount of toulene with a little oil, fill her up and thats it. For stock ecu you wouldn't even need to put much in to achieve "93" or so.

i use the racing(black bottle) 104+ octane boost thats the only stuff i used that actually works my father has some old cars (65 gto 421 super duty w/ a 6 pack(tri-power))and they vapor lock and ping like hell if you use crapy octane booster. try that its like $7

No point of running 108 octane if you have no way of controlling your fuel, and if you're controlling your fuel I suggest you have a way to accurately log your AFR's. A stock car will see no gain from 108 gas, unless you're using that swill they pass as gas in California (91).

Toluene is great, but it goes up in price as oil prices climb. I'm fortunate enough to have blue flame sunoco dealer about 3 miles from my house, I can get 112 octane gas for 7.80 a gallon if I want to run that map.
