congrats, i have the same gauge. You should hook up your illum wire for sure. When the illum is powered it dims even lower than you can turn it down on the unit itself and doesnt blind you at night. That gauge is right on the money and should not be off more than 1/2 psi. Heres a pic of mine!

Aight, pics going up when I get back from work... I'll also show off my neat Sirius install.

So, given those specs for the VIII and the Defi (admittedly I've not even checked the Defi manual yet for any official figures), my Evo is either boosting a touch too high or my sender is off. I doubt the gauge is at fault at all, since it's a stepper motor.

an0ther: what hose did you tee your sender to?

Your car is fine ... 03-04 evos go 20 taper to 17 ... 05's peak higher because of the bigger hotside ...

I live in a new housing development and they leave piles of mud in the road that get all over. One day after washing and waxing my car, it was so filthy that people were asking where I do Auto X.

I see you mounted the T connector to a different line, the gauge looks nice!

Thanks, I love the gauge!

What do you mean by different line - different to what? I followed the instructions supplied with the Defi gauge, which match the ones at the features section of this website.

Some people say it is better to put the T into the line that is circled in the picture.

Nice set up. Mine was a little different though. I put the guage closer to the left on the dashboard, so the line looks cleaner. I also zipped tied the lines in the engine bay to make it look cleaner. Lastly, I wonder if it really matters where u t-off the boost line. I did it right off the FPR according to the "how to install" thread; regarding installing a boost guage.

lazy, i have no clue why that install guide says to tap there. If you look in the instructions of any boost gauge, they say to tap it at the end of the rail like he did. Thats how I have mine and have had mine on all my turbo cars.

I saw couple tutorials and ask some other people, they said it was just better at that location. Cause I seen people tap at both locations so I was not sure as well.
