Quicktime Performance needs test Evo
I've been interested in the electronic cut-out for a while and have been waiting for Quicktime Performance to release a downpipe with cutout for over a year now. I recently got an email from them stating that they were finally starting up the project of making one for the Evo and that they're looking for an Evo in the New Jersey area where they can test an Evo downpipe with cutout on. They asked if I knew anyone with an Evo in the area, so I thought it'd be better if I posted this here. If anyone's interested, I'd contact them and see what they'll offer. Here's a link to their downpipes, and the contact info below.

I talked to these guys at SEMA and told them they just needed to get on here so they could find a test car. I hope this happens as it would be nice to have a downpipe specifically built for our car. My friend runs one of these on his SE-R and it is pretty awesome.

I guess you could just run the stock exhaust system and then use this downpipe at the track.
Although most electronic cutouts have a reputation of breaking or leaking.. I don't see much reason to use this for most people.

I ran a cutout on my VW R32.. Only problems I had:
- melted a butterfly (it was aluminum), shop replaced with a SS piece with no hastle, for free
- is WOULD leak a bit, but nothing major
- valve would not like to open in the cold if you were on the highway (weird)
..other than that, let me tell you, the sound of a NA 3.2L VR6 with open headers is REDICULOUS.

hehe didnt they have a evo with a cut out in a video and me it sounded like crap. and the wrx with the cut out sounds cool as hell. so i dont know not going for sound but i mean if can get br and what not full 3in and get same gain and sounds good why not do that. but i know if you want somthing nice for every day and then when need the more power you turn it open. ahh i dont see the point if need car for daily drive dont modd it. if want it for racing then make it for racing lol anyhow im done have a good day. i could test it for ya. car is fully gutted what else is left to do . lol
My buddy had a full tbe 3inch on his 99 Si w/a T3/T4 and when he dynoed his car w/it closed and then open he only saw a couple of ft/lb tq go up.... I was thinking about a cutout but it seems like to much of a hassle, also dmhperformance, I believe has them as well...
