need shift knob with a button

Searched, couldn't find anything.

I'm looking for a shift knob with some sort of button or switch on it that I can use for my anti-lag launches. Would prefer a button that I can hold down to activate anti-lag and then release to de-activate. Anybody seen anything like that?

Thanks in advance.

Why not mount a switch on the steering wheel?

That is definately another option. The reason I was thinking shift knob is because Jay had trouble reaching for the shifter when he did his anti-lag launch and he used the intercooler sprayer button. It just puts you back in your seat that hard, so I don't know if a steering wheel button would work either. If I can't find a shift knob that still looks decent, then I will be considering other options. Originally I wanted to use the lower clutch switch to engage anti-lag, but I don't think that would work that well either.

My '97 Ford Thunderbird has a nice stock leather-wrapped shift knob with a built-in momentary switch for the overdrive.

another alternative would be to fab your own... get an aluminum/plastic knob, drill, and counter sink the switch, and voila

The Lotus elise wheel should fit our hub its an aluminum momo wheel like the evo but the air bag says lotus instead of mitsubishi, but on the spokes near the hands there is a horn button on each side. could wire it to one of the horn buttons.

that is actually a pretty good idea. I had an '83 Volvo Turbo with a 4 speed manual and push button overdrive on the top of the shift knob. that would work great, but I don't think it's going to be easy to find one of those.

that would probably make me the happiest as I could make it however I wanted, but I'm lazy and I thought that there would already be something like that out there.

Most any new model, floor shifted, automatic with a locking converter will have the momentary switch for the o/d in the knob. Just wander around and sit in varrious cars in dealerships, when you find the one you like, go to parts and order it. Or start your search online at dealers web pages, they usually have good interior pics of the cars.

edit... check the Ford 500 SEL, the shift knob looks sweet, perhaps it has the o/d switch in it...edit

edit2...the Jaguar X Type has an optional carbon fiber package, here is the R Type knob...edit2
