well i was on my way to my friends house last night and next thing u know, well i thought that that was just the exhaust of the car infront of me but the smoke was a lil too much, looked on my left side...tada!!! **** it's my car. looked at my temp. gauge, it was normal but it's starting to sky rocket high. good thing shell gas station right beside me and pulled over right away. checked everything, and i guess my lower coolant hose was leeaking or i should say there was a hole on it. so my car was out of commission right now, i will be workin on it this afternoon. and hope that's the only prob. oh well..........just trying to vent out thats all

 

If you have an 05, then that's a Recall item. If you have an 03/04, then it's not a common issue.

Is there a recall for the coolant hose? Where can I see a list of all recalls for 05 Evos? Well, before anyone answers let me do a search first.

By the way, what would be a normal temp. for an Evo? My temperature's niddle reads just below the middle, at about the water drawing on the temp. sign. Just curious to see if that is normal.

Warrtalon put together a couiple of threads that have the TSBs for the 03/04 and the 05. good info...

well i found the problem, fixed the car but it sounds different. also i think it's still leaking from somewhere , i have to check it out again

 

Hah, funny that you ask me that question. Just do a search for threads started by me with the term TSB in them. I have the coolant hose RECALL in there (yes, recall, not just a TSB - only certain 05s are affected).
