So what's the deal with the cams in the new IX's???

but it should be fine with 300 to 400hp evos? im planning on having a daily driven 12 second evo (maybe capable of 11's but i want it to be RELIABLE) and i think the IX will be the easiest to do that with.

My only concern is the future. I would like to get a IX if this is the last year the IX is going to be made. I do not want a X. If they plan on makign the IX as a 2007 model, then I may just get a VIII (as silly as it sounds)...

According to Mitsu's E8 brochure the cams were also hollow.

There have already been IX's in the 12's bone stock. TBE, filter and flash will put you comftorably in the 12's and VERY reliable. Well as reliable as a Mitsu can be

Definitely. Get basic bolt ons and even a mediocre driver should be able to hit 12s.
